The client

Branch built the registration portal, the interactive event pages and the admin dashboard behind them as one system. Registration is tuned for concurrency rather than for an average day, it hands off to Zoom instead of competing with it, and the data it captures drives the automated mail that follows. Copy runs through translation modules, so the same journey reads in the attendee’s own language.

Worre Studios runs a 25,000 square foot interactive virtual event facility in Las Vegas, built for studio events whose audience attends from everywhere at once rather than from the room.

The challenge

An audience of 60,000 arriving inside the same few minutes is a load problem before it is a design one, and a registration form that slows under it loses the attendee at the only moment they were willing to sign up. Worre Studios needed sign-up and live access to hold at that scale, for an audience spread across languages and time zones, with the video conferencing the events already ran on left in place rather than replaced.

What we built

  1. Zoom-integrated registration

A responsive registration module coupled to the interactive web studio and integrated with Zoom, built to take registrations in the concurrent bursts an announcement produces rather than a steady trickle.

  2. Interactive web studio

Event pages and user journeys laid out for attending an event in a browser: responsive throughout, with the route from landing to live access short enough to survive an audience arriving all at once.

  3. Backend data module

Registrant records held in one place, triggering the transactional email that confirms a sign-up and carries the joining details, so nobody on the team is sending them by hand at that volume.

  4. Multilingual delivery

Predefined translation modules across the interface copy, so a global audience reads registration, confirmation and event pages in its own language rather than in English by default.

  5. Administrative dashboard

The console the team runs an event from: registrations, attendee data and the event pages themselves, managed without a developer in the loop.

Results

  • Over 60,000 concurrent registrations taken for a single virtual event.

  • Sign-up and check-in shortened to one-click triggers, which is what holds a queue of that size together.

  • A single registration journey delivered in multiple languages, giving an international audience the same experience in its own.
