The client

Branch built the registration platform and the event portal as one site. Registration is a multi-step flow that branches by what the visitor is signing up for, verified by OTP so a seat belongs to a real person. The rest of the portal carries the programme: schedule listings, session detail, the speaker roster and the workshop tracks, in a responsive layout that holds from a high-resolution desktop down to a phone.

The AI Film Festival is a multi-stage event for AI-driven filmmaking, held at Expo City Dubai: screenings and panels alongside a workshop programme, for an audience that registers from around the world.

The challenge

A festival that runs screenings, panels and workshops at once is really several events sharing a name, and each of them takes a different kind of sign-up. The portal had to route an attendee to the right one without making them read the difference first, carry a schedule and a speaker line-up that change up to the week of the event, and read as well on a festival screen as on the phone of someone standing in the queue outside.

What we built

  1. Registration platform

Dynamic multi-step sign-up serving general attendees and workshop participants from one flow, with OTP verification on the account so a registration is tied to a reachable person.

  2. Workshop and content portal

Interactive schedule listings and session detail views covering the festival programme, its guest speakers and its workshop tracks, structured so a visitor can find one session rather than read the whole agenda.

  3. Responsive interface system

Custom event frames, hero headers and content modules built as one set, so the portal renders correctly across high-resolution screens, desktop browsers and mobile without a separate mobile site.

  4. Live Q&A and stream control

A moderated Q&A where every question is reviewed before it reaches the screen, and input switching across the festival’s live streams, so the stage is never one submission away from an embarrassment.

Results

  • Attendee onboarding reduced to one verified flow, whichever part of the festival someone is signing up for.

  • A professional web presence for the festival, carrying the programme and the speakers rather than a holding page and a form.

  • International participation in the festival’s AI and media programme, registered and managed through a single portal.
