Introduction

Branch and The Eventagrate Group partnered with Abu Dhabi Autonomous Car Racing (A2RL) to create an innovative mobile application featuring an immersive racing game that simulates the thrill of real racing. The objective was to develop a user-friendly and scalable mobile application and racing game for the A2RL racing league, with a core focus on incorporating real-time telemetry data. The project aimed to deliver unmatched gameplay accuracy by merging live racing data with the virtual game.

This comprehensive solution included mobile app development for iOS and Android platforms, leaderboards, and promotional campaigns to complement the actual A2RL Race Day. The app was designed to foster a vibrant player community, enable seamless audience interaction, and encourage race exploration and engagement.

Mobile Application and User Experience:

Branch developed a fully functional mobile application to serve as the digital hub for A2RL, offering users registration, ticket management, team details, and 'Race Day' features. This mode seamlessly integrated real-time car racing data, providing an authentic and competitive experience as players raced against live data. The app streamlined audience engagement with the league, enhancing user interaction and satisfaction through immersive gameplay and event live streams.

Telemetry Data Backend Processes and Real-Time Data Streaming Mechanism:

By integrating on-site servers, Branch enabled the streaming of real-time car data to the cloud, including GPS and speed information, for an enhanced and authentic player experience. The data processing and handling framework ensured accurate, secure, and scalable data management in real-time. APIs were developed for seamless integration with the mobile app, game, and third-party partners.

Car Game Mechanics and Features:

The 'Race Day' mode seamlessly integrated real-time car racing data, providing a competitive experience as players raced against live data. Branch's work included a checkpoint system, multiplayer modes, race day live stream integration, intuitive in-game HUD, ghost mode, optimized 3D models, and leaderboard integration. These features enabled users to fully immerse themselves in a realistic racing environment, which bolstered engagement and created a vibrant player community.

Scalability, Performance Optimization, and Infrastructure:

Branch established a robust database and cloud server infrastructure for data security, scalability, and accessibility. Load testing and performance optimization measures ensured the platform remained responsive even during peak traffic conditions.
